I meet Poppy King in Australia maybe a decade ago, and our paparazzi photograph adorned my pinup board for years to follow. At our meeting there was no rock star boyfriend or Texan drawl...but, behind her 'Jerry Hallesque' fiery pout lay a confident, ambitious and truly genuine young woman. Her transformation from 'Aussie Misfit' to 'International Lipstick Queen', along with her attitude and self-belief served as a gentle inspiration to me during my own creative aspirations.
